Trained in fashion design Joy Nagy employs her knowledge of pattern making, stitchery, fabric and design in each work she creates. Her eclectic
collections were inspired in part by her life in New York City.
As a child, one of her favorite possessions was a box of Crayolas. After hours of drawing, her colors broken and worn, she returned them neatly into the crayon box, hoping that they would magically return to their perfect state in the morning. Never happened, so she kept on drawing, adding colors and
figuring out new ways to use them.
